Here are the pages I designed in response to a book binding brief.  The ideas for the book pages were inspired from three randomly selected words,

Object - Paperclip

Body- Twins

After brainstorming these subjects I began to focus on paperclips as the linking element to my designs. The use of paperclips is present in each page as I have used it as a continuous line which gives the overall piece fluidity. I chose to use 'twins' as the overall theme to my book and expressed this through use of typography and illustration, the continuous line represents the constant bond between twins and I depicted the DNA of twins by using paperclips. The subject of Iceland is shown through colour, I selected the red and white colours from the flag of the country to add interest and striking qualities to the appearance of the book. I really enjoyed the design processes involved in this brief especially learning the technique of pagination and book binding, it is definitely a process I would like to use in later projects.
